The Story…

Canary is a rock n roll band that has quickly grown from a brainchild to a full-fledged rock n roll powerhouse unit that is like a combination of Led Zeppelin and Fleetwood Mac.  Their music hits you where rock n roll should: in the gut.

Made up of friends that met at college in Boston, Massachusetts, this rock n roll quintet knows how to bring it hard night after night.  After undergoing some significant lineup changes, the band quickly regained its footing and continued from where it left off.

In less than one year, Canary has played at the House of Blues in Boston, released an EP, four singles, and was featured in an Emerson College television show called “4 Iroquois.”

“We lost one and gained two,” said Jackie Berkley, Canary’s lead singer and founding member alongside Amy Mantis (guitar and vocals), on the departure of Canary’s original drummer and the additions of Dean Davis (drums) and Alex Hartley (organ, piano, saxophone, and vocals).  Kyle Hovland is still the rock-solid bassist and happiest guy around.

Nowadays you’ll find Canary – all the while being full-time students – rocking hard across the northeast, constantly writing new material, and prepping to record and release a new album in early 2012.
